Sondra Golden's Obituary
Sondra Golden, age 88, of West Palm Beach, Florida, passed away on October 8, 2025, surrounded by her children.
She was born in Brooklyn, New York on November 20, 1936, to her parents Ida and Alfred Gurton. Sondra devoted her life to her family. As a homemaker, she was completely focused on raising her three children, Andrew, Ian, and Deborah. She was a devoted wife to her husband Laurence, who predeceased her, and together they created a home that reflected love, tradition, and care for others.
Judaism was a strong and guiding part of Sondra’s life. She was proud to carry on family traditions and was happiest when she was surrounded by loved ones during holidays. She also enjoyed playing cards and Mahjong, finding joy in the camaraderie and friendships these games brought. Hosting family and friends gave her immense pleasure and reflected her warmth and generosity of spirit.
Sondra was also committed to causes close to her heart. She was a strong supporter of breast cancer research and believed deeply in helping others through her advocacy and encouragement.
She is survived by her children Andrew, Ian, and Deborah, her two grandchildren Kate and John, and her brother Victor. Her family will remember her as a woman of strength, devotion, and enduring love.
A graveside funeral service will be held on October 10, 2025, at 1:15 p.m. at Eternal Light Cemetery, 11520 State Road 7, Boynton Beach, Florida 33473.
