Stanley Falk's Obituary
Stanley Falk, cherished father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and friend, passed peacefully on April 27, 2025 at 93 in Stuart, Florida with family by his side.
Stanley was born August 7, 1931 in New York City. He moved to Troy, NY in the 1940s where he met Marilyn, his beloved wife and partner, for close to 7 decades. He spent his entire working career in his family’s business, Troy Mattress Company. He was hardworking and trustworthy. He had a special appreciation for employees, customers, business partners, and vendors.
He was devoted to his wife, four children, and family members and had many lifelong friends – including his gin club members. He loved boating and fishing, golf, and along with Marilyn – sharing fun and memorable times, with family, and new and long-time friends, at their beautiful home on Schroon Lake in the Adirondacks.
He is survived by two sons, Harry of Stuart, FL. and Robert (Mary) of Fort Myers, FL, and two daughters, Nancy (Ken Garrison) of Charlottesville, VA. and Susan Steiner (Mark) of Lakewood Ranch, FL; grandchildren, Daniel (Rabbi Rachel), Andrew (Adair), Josh (Dorothy), Jennifer (Paul), Ben (Victoria), and Sarah(Josh); 6 great-grandchildren, his sister Minna, and cherished nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Chuck.
In memory of Stanley, kindly consider donations to the ALS Association (www.ALS.org). The neurodegenerative disease ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) has impacted the Falk family and so many others nationwide. At this time of federal funding cuts, the need is greater than ever before. Alternatively, consider donating to your local hospice organization or a charity of your choice.
Special thanks to the Brookdale Assisted Living, Stuart, FL team and Vitas Healthcare (hospice) for the kind, compassionate care provided to our “Pops.” To correspond with the family, contact Harry Falk ([email protected]).
