Stephen Landes' Obituary
Stephen Landes passed away on Wednesday October 23rd, 2024, in Boca Raton, Florida. He is predeceased by his parents, Rose and Louis Landes. He is survived by his daughter Shari, his daughter Madeline and her husband Scott Samuels, his son Gregg and his wife Barbara, and his daughter Hallie and her husband Kevin Loescher. He has ten grandchildren: Jamie Dolphin & her husband David, Alexis & Tabitha Schauer, Ryan & Jensen Samuels, Jason & Jessica Landes, and Taylor, Zachary, and Jake Loescher, and his great-grandson: Lennon Dolphin, and many nieces and nephews. Stephen was born on November 16th, 1938, in Brooklyn, New York, he graduated from Boys High school in Brooklyn, and he was called upon to serve in the United States Army. He trained in cryptography at Fort Gordon, GA and served until his honorable discharge in 1959. He married Beverly Dee Coplan in New York in 1962, and later moved the family to Boca Raton, Florida where they raised their four children. He had a long and successful career in the garment industry and commuted between New York City and Boca Raton, FL on a weekly basis for over 30 years. In his later years, he shared his life with his partner, Bernice Canter. His greatest pride and joy in life was his children and grandchildren. He would regularly say his family made him the luckiest guy on earth.
