Stuart E. Schachter's Obituary
Stuart E. Schachter, 78, of Valencia Pointe in Boynton Beach passed away Monday April 15, 2019. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, Stuart moved to Queens, NY at an early age and spent his formative years in Forest Hills where he developed into a talented All City basketball player. His basketball prowess earned Stuart a full scholarship to the University of Rhode Island where he was a member their varsity team, competing in the NCAA Tournament in 1961. After graduating college, Stuart eventually became an owner of Amity Plumbing and Heating Supply Corp, expanding it into a regional company with several locations. Stuart then went on to become a successful securities broker. Stuart was an avid golfer and remained a wonderful athlete into his retirement.
Stuart was the beloved husband of Nancy with whom he enjoyed 51 years of marriage; the devoted father of Scott (Pamela) Schachter and Jeffrey (Frederique) Schachter; and the loving grandfather of Sophie, Landon, Delphine, Owen, and Blair. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 PM on Wednesday April 17, 2019 at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, 11115 Jog Rd., Boynton Beach, FL 33437.
