Sue Ann Brown's Obituary
Sue Ann Brown passed away on July 3, 2025 after a hard fought six year battle with liver disease. Born in New Haven on July 14, 1957 to Shirley (Horowitz) and Isadore Brown, Sue was raised in Milford, CT, graduated from Milford High School in 1975 and accumulated enough college credits for an associate’s degree but never pursued it. She relocated to Florida and loved her extended Florida family. Affectionately known as SuzieQ, she was a kind and generous soul who did her best to make the world a better place. Sue enjoyed her career primarily in clerical work in the medical field where she often guided patients through the complex bureaucracy of insurance with compassion. The years she spent helping people with developmental disabilities at Marrakech, Inc. were by far the most rewarding and best loved.
Sue is survived by her devoted and loving partner, companion and closest friend, Richard Lanziero, stepsons Richie (Stephanie) and Eric (Emily) and their children, sister Arline (Frank) and brother Stan, numerous nieces, nephews and friends, her BFF since they were one year old, Kathi G and her dear friend, Janet W. We would be remiss if we did mention her strong love and connection to dogs; she is survived by Callie and Cooper, and Sprinkles.
Sue’s family would like to thank the staff at Trustbridge Hospice and special thanks to Laurie O’Connell, and Linda and Phil Schlissel for their love and support of Sue during her life and transition.
Celebrations of Life for Sue will be held at a later date in both Florida and Connecticut. Memorial contributions may be made to Marrakech, Inc. at https://marrakechinc.org or a recipient of your choice.
