Suzann S Suna's Obituary
Suzann Snowiss Suna of Boca Raton, Florida, formerly of Elyria, OH and Elmira, NY. She was married to Dr. Irwin Suna for 66 year, until his death in 2020. Mother of Dr. Lester Suna (Dr.Robyn), Dr. Jo-Ann Suna (Rob), Douglas Suna (Dr. Jennifer Bailit). Grandmother to Michael (Kelly), Elise (Nikko), Jayme, Becca, Cari, Madeleine and Jonathan. Predeceased by her parents David and Isabel Snowiss. Beloved sister to Myra (Jerry)Stemerman.
She devoted her life to family, friends, and community. She always had her children in tow, especially during the countless hours she volunteered at Temple B’Nai Abraham in Elyria. She was the first woman President of that congregation. After she moved to Florida to enjoy her retirement years in Boca Raton, she was the President of the Boca Raton Brandeis University National Women’s Committee. She and Irwin were very active participants for Beth Ami Congregation in Boca Raton. She was “Women of the Year” for Beth Ami in 2014. She and Irwin were very active with Company A. In her later years, nothing was more important than making sure her grandchildren were taken care of at the shopping mall. Wherever she went, she was always the glue that brought friends together.
