I was so sorry to hear of Suzanne's passing. She was a force to be reckoned with and one of the finest ladies I have ever met. I was the first person she met when she moved to Florida from Chicago. It was difficult for her at first but she soon settled in and took Florida by the horns. We haven't seen much of each other in the last few years, which is a shame. We kind of drifted apart after my husband died. I know that Earl must be devastated as he was a wonderful and devoted husband. I wish him the best.

Suzanne and I shared a very lengthy phone call a few months ago and spent much time talking about our days growing up in Chicago. Her Mom, Ruth was my Grandmother's sister and I remember visiting Ruth many times at her apartment with the tiniest elevator I ever remember! I remember being at Suzanne's when she was married to Gerald Saperstein and remember Gerald and his pipes! I was close to Natalie, Suzanne's older daughter when I was a kid and even remember visiting her at Champaign after I graduated. Fond memories, Cousin Suzanne was a wonderful person and also my Dad's favorite relative. Now they can be together!
