Wayne T McClure Jr.'s Obituary
Wayne T. McClure Jr, a resident of Boynton Beach, Florida died on January 10, 2023, at the age of 73. He passed away peacefully in his sleep at home with Debbi his wife by his side. Wayne was born in Portland, Maine, growing up in Sandy Springs, Georgia, lived in Smyrna, Georgia until 2017 then moved to Boynton Beach, Florida with his wife Debbi and their beloved Maine Coon cats, Woodford Jr. and Stella. He joined United Distributors, wholesale alcohol beverage distributor based in Smyrna, Georgia in 1974 which became his lifelong career of 42 years. He had a passion for the business with hard work and determination starting as a salesman and becoming Vice President of Administration. In retirement he enjoyed playing golf, spending time with friends playing cards, walking, and enjoying the beach. Wayne will be remembered for his kind and generous spirit, sense of humor, being a great listener, and having a big heart which he shared with many people. He was loved by family, friends and business associates and will be truly missed by all.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 34 years, Debbi Green McClure, daughter Kimberly McClure, brother Mark McClure (Kimberly), sister Sharon Couch, brother-in-law Morton Gelber, niece Lauren Gelber (Joseph Hesskamp), nephews Derek Gelber (Ashley), Sean McClure, Patrick McClure, Jason Couch, grand nephew John Couch, uncle Charles Abbott, cousin Steven Abbott (Kelly). He is predeceased by his parents Wayne Taylor and Mildred Lubee McClure, sisters-in-law Audrey Green Gelber, Robyn Alisa Green, nephew John Coursey-Couch, aunt Joanne Lubee Abbott.
Memorial Chapel Services to be held 1:00 pm January 29th at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel at 11115 Jog Road in Boynton Beach, Florida with Rabbi Anthony Fratello officiating. Cryptside service to follow at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens 11520 State Road 7, Boynton Beach, Florida.
