Whitney Goldman's Obituary
Whitney Goldman was born on January 23, 1989.
Whitney was warm, funny, gentle, resilient, creative, and incredibly empathetic - feeling the joy of the world and the weight of the world all at once. She did the best she could, and tried the hardest she could, to navigate these emotions. She bravely battled addiction for years, sharing her story over and over in the hopes that it would save just one life - even though it ultimately took hers. She will forever be remembered for her strength, courage, nurturing spirit, artistic talents, and love for others.
Whitney departed this earth on April 20, 2024. She leaves many to cherish her life: her father Mitchell, her mother Joann, her brother Jared, her sister Kayla (Heather), her beloved dog Mila, her friends, and an infinite extension of sponsor family and lives touched.
Whitney wanted to live. She had dreams and hopes of her growing career, of family, of travels, and a bright future… but addiction doesn’t discriminate. Speaking candidly about the epidemic of drug use may be the difference between life and death. In honor of Whitney’s life - the one she deserved and won’t get the chance to live - we ask that truth be spread and awareness be raised about this disease.
A memorial service will take place on May 19th, 2024 12:00pm at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel-Delray Beach.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, we encourage donations to one of Whitney’s favorite organizations - Face the Music - which has a mission of healing addiction through the power of music.
