Eleanor Kuperberg of Boynton Beach, Florida passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022. She is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years Bernard, sons Joseph (Shari) and Robert (Rosemary), grandchildren Jason and Jenna, sister-in-law Evelyn Heilweil, and friend of 74 years Barbara Work. Eleanor was born June 21, 1941 in Brooklyn and lived a good part of her life in Long Island before moving to Boynton Beach. She was preceded in death by her parents Samuel and Mary Dubin, brother Marvin (Evelyn) Dubin, sister Roberta (Arnold) Kleinick, and sister-in-law Mildred (Jack) Byck. In addition to her immediate family, Eleanor’s nieces and nephews played a large role in her life. Eleanor is survived by Michele (Jay) Levine, Janice (Chip) Marks, Keith Kleinick, Jay Dubin, Robin (Jack) Grossman, Leslie (Larry) Boritz, David (Paula) Byck, Gary (Ellen) Byck, Ira (Elaine) Work, Jay Work, Staci Work, Shari Work and their children and grandchildren. Eleanor worked for many years as an executive assistant at Waldbaum’s for 25 years and at a real estate firm and was devoted to her friends and family. Following retirement, Eleanor enjoyed traveling the world with Bernie and soaking up the sun in Florida. She served as co-vice president of The Pap Corps for ten years and enjoyed a good meal out and playing mahjong, pan and canasta. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel Boynton Beach, located at 11115 Jog Rd, Boynton Beach, FL 33437, followed by a graveside service at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens located at 11520 State Road 7 Boynton Beach, FL 33473. Shiva calls may be made at the home of the Kuperbergs at 8458 Logia Circle, Boynton Beach, FL 33472 on Wednesday following the services until 6pm, Thursday from 1-6pm or Friday from 1-5pm. For the protection of everyone, the family asks that all who attend services or make a shiva call please wear masks and be fully vaccinated (including a booster if eligible). In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Pap Corps (www.thepapcorps.org) or Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org).
