Allan I Schneiderman's Obituary
Allan I. Schneiderman passed away with his family by his side on November 4, 2020 in Delray Beach, Florida. Allan was born on September 17, 1932 in Tarrytown, New York. Allan graduated from Ossining High School in Ossining New York in 1950. He then attended the University of Alabama before enlisting in the United States Navy in 1952. After his time in the Navy, Allan began a career in real estate and insurance in New York where he succeeded his father at Benjamin Schneiderman Real Estate and Insurance in Ossining New, York. Allan was a member of Congregation Sons of Israel in Ossining for many years, served as a past president of the local Rotary Club in Ossining, and coached little league baseball in the 1960’s. After moving to Boca Raton, Florida in 1973, Allan once again entered the real estate business and eventually opened Sands of Gold Realty in Boca Raton. Allan also owned and operated the Boca Raton Garden Center in the heart of downtown Boca Raton, Florida for nearly 35 years before retiring in 2006. Allan learned how to fly prop planes during his time in the Navy and could often be found buzzing his future Mother in law’s house in Memphis, Tennessee while he was stationed at Millington Naval Base. After moving to Florida in 1973, Allan could be found on the Intracoastal waterway in his 24’ Seawind named “Happy Hour” with a cigar in his hand enjoying the peacefulness of the water.
Allan leaves behind his loving wife of 67 years, Bessie Schneiderman, his sons Lester “Les” Schneiderman, Lawrence “Larry” Schneiderman, Steven Schneiderman and his daughter Debbie Judge. Allan also leaves behind his grandchildren Amy, Jack, Hannah and Grace as well as his beloved sister Joan Wolf and her children Robert, Karol and Randy and their families.
Allan was predeceased by his parents Benjamin and Taube “Tillie” Schneiderman and his granddaughter Laura Lee Schneiderman.
