All this week memories of my time with my Uncle Allen have come flooding back, like the stories he would tell of his family history, his recounting his interactions he had with his oil company customers, my week-long stays at his house when I went the University of Hartford day camp, or him running around the house to tickle my brother. He was very pragmatic -- a memory of him listing the reasons to never to buy a red car comes to mind -- but he balanced that with a very giving side, like when he drove my grandmother to numerous doctor appointments, the grocery stores, or anywhere she wanted after she stopped being able to drive herself. Most of all, I think of his total commitment to my Aunt Florence.
Bob and I have wonderful memories with the Attas family
Bob will miss his collector talks of cars and trains with Allen
We only wish the family our deepest sympathy on your loss of a great man

Allen and Florence were a very important part of our lives going back to our childhood . We shared simchas and sorrows. My most recent memory was this past summer when he said to us I hope I make it to my birthday. So on November 27 about 30 friends and neighbors surprised him with cars lined up, horns honking, singing and handmade signs for a Covid bday party.......he was so happy and so excited!!
Allen was a wonderful human being and this world was a better place for the years that Allen was part of our lives.....rest in peace dear friend.... we miss you.... love, Flora Lou and Phil Sherman
What a wonderful husband, father and grandfather he was. You are so lucky to have had him in your lives. To me, he will be Colonel Sanders! RIP!
When we first moved to Valencia Shores we became Allen 's neighbor, Allen was the first person to knock on my door and introduce himself. From that point on we became good friends and confidents. We lived through our triumphs & tragedies. Goodbye my friend you will be missed. Love, Ira and Nancy
Allen was my good friend. Playing tennis , cards, or other games, going out for lunch or dinner, I always enjoyed his company. He was someone you could really talk to and confide in . A good man all the way, Allen will be truly missed and always remembered. Charlie Appelblatt
