ALLEN ATTAS's Obituary
Allen Attas passed away in his home in Lake Worth, Florida after an extended battle with cancer on March 18, 2021. He faced his cancer with courage and humor.
Allen was born in Hartford, CT in 1942. He graduated from Weaver High School class of 1960. After graduating the University of Bridgeport he worked for several years as a social worker for the State of CT. Soon after he joined his father Meyer’s fuel oil company Wallet Fuel. Eventually operating the company he expanded the business to include cooling and plumbing services. Allen sold the business in 2003 and fulfilled his longtime dream of retiring to Florida.
He leaves behind the love of his life Florence (Kaminsky) Attas whom he fell in love with at Old Colony Beach when he was 12. He is survived by his sons Aric Attas and his wife Annabel Robertson and their children Meier and Aaron Attas, Sophie and Olivia North; David Attas and his wife Marlaine Philpotts and their children Ally and Jenna Attas, Devon and Austin Whitehead, His sister Andrea (Attas) deHaas and his brother-in-law Sigi deHaas and Martin Zeldis. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Myron and Marion (Wolotsky) Attas and his sister in-law-Sylvia (Kaminsky) Zeldis.
He adored and enjoyed his 8 grandchildren and his canine companion Lucy. Allen loved playing tennis, walking the pod and causing mischief with his friends. He was an avid reader and a collector of model trains, fountain pens, antique cars and model airplane engines.
The family would like to thank the team at TrustBridge for the outstanding care and compassion they provided.
He will be sorely missed by his family and many friends.

Private burial and no shiva due to Covid. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
