Uncle Bernie and Aunt Elaine were a supportive presence throughout my childhood and young adulthood, coming to our recitals, concerts, and even my brothers college graduation in Dallas. I’ll always be grateful to Uncle Bernie for waking up early to play with a 4-year old Joey (my son) in their pool during our visit to West Palm Beach many years ago.
