Burt Aaronson's Obituary
Former Palm Beach County Commissioner Burt Aaronson passed away at his home in Delray Beach on the morning of October 25, 2018. First elected to the County Commission in 1992 he served for 20 years until he was term limited. The South County Park that he was instrumental in creating was named after him in 2012.
Commissioner Aaronson was born in 1928 in Brooklyn, NY, the only child of Irene and Irving Aaronson. During his life, Commissioner Aaronson worked in the home furnishing industry rising to Vice President of Deville Furniture and Executive Vice President of Eclipse Mattress Company before moving to Palm Beach County.
Commissioner Aaronson is survived by his wife of 69 years, Sheila, his 2 sons Rick and Danny and their wives Rebecca and Wendy, his grandchildren Scott, Glenn, Eric, Brandon, and Kamryn, and great grandchildren Samantha, Maisie, and Lincoln.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Sunday October 28, 2018 at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, 5808 West Atlantic Avenue, Delray Beach, FL 33484 with interment at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens to follow.
