Cynthia Jean Powell's Obituary
Cynthia J. Powell
December 18, 1949 – March 25, 2025
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Cynthia J. Powell. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a cherished friend, and a beacon of kindness to all who knew her.
Cynthia is survived by her beloved husband, Bruce; her children, Lauren and Darren; and her brothers, James and Peter. She was preceded in death by her sister, Sandy.
The greatest titles she ever held were Mother, Wife, and Friend. She embodied love, warmth, and generosity in everything she did. She painted, sculpted, sewed and designed everything from the family home to fashion clothing and her grandchildren’s Halloween costumes. Her kindness was extraordinary, her compassion boundless, her energy tireless, her taste pure perfection, her beauty exquisite and she loved without peer. She dedicated her life to empowering your individual spirit, always ready with an open heart and helping hands.
Cynthia’s legacy of love and selflessness will continue in the hearts of those she touched. Her imprinted kindness and unwavering spirit will remain forever.
A celebration of her life will be held at Beth Israel Memorial in Boynton Beach (11115 Jog Road, Boynton Beach). In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, in honor of Cynthia’s lifelong love of children and commitment to hope.
