Ivan Baylek's Obituary
Ivan Baylek, 84, of Boca Raton passed away Tuesday March 5, 2019. Formerly of Rockland County, New York, Ivan was an enthusiastic NY Giants football and the NY Mets baseball fan. Ivan worked in the garment district of NY from the age of 18 until his retirement. He was a designer of men’s clothing and his clothes were worn by the likes of Harry Bellafonte, Sammy Davis Jr., and MC Hammer. Ivan was the kindest and most gentle man and was known as “everyone’s father” to all his children’s friends in the neighborhood as they were growing up. Ivan was the beloved husband of Paula for 57 years; the devoted father of Richie Baylek and Melissa (Rich) Rosenblum; the loving grandfather of Jude Rosenblum; dear brother of Donald (Ellen) Baylek. He also leaves his loyal dog Luke. Chapel services will be held 11 AM Thursday March 7, 2019 at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, 11115 Jog Rd., Boynton Beach, Florida 33437 with interment to follow in Eternal Light Memorial Gardens in Boynton Beach.
