A Tribute to Joel
The best “big brother” anyone could ever have.
He took me to my first Red Sox game, walked me to my first day of school, and tried to teach me everything he could about sports—especially basketball.
As adults, we became each other's confidants, consolers, and cheerleaders. Joel deeply loved his family and friends, and that love was returned in full.
Carmie and I will deeply miss those family gatherings with Joel and Eileen. Together, they embodied the old saying: it’s not so much what you did, but who you did it with, that matters most.
A life well lived.
