Lowrie Barry
One fond memory of how I met Karyn was at the first Deaf Way in 1989 in Washington D.C. I was standing in a lineup and Karyn was in front of me. We were wearing our name tags and she turned around and saw my name Lowrie Barry. She said do you know David Barry? I said he is my husband. She got so excited and said they were from the same class of 1974 at Gallaudet so that is how I met Karyn for the first time. Then she and her family stayed with us when they were looking for their new home in Mississauga,Ontario Karyn and I worked at E. C. Drury School for the Deaf, Milton for many years. RIP Karyn 🤟🏻
