My husband Gerry and I were sad to hear of Larry’s passing. We worked with Larry at Michelin Tire in the 70s and 80s and my husband and Larry were roommates for about a year. I can still can hear Larry’s infectious laugh. He was such a good sport with my practical jokes. I’m just sorry that we didn’t stay in touch. May his memory be a blessing to all his loved ones.
Peg, Harry and I are so deeply saddened by Larry's passing. Each week when we talked it was such fun to share in your plans for the weekend. We met Larry only once in Dallas and found him to be such a smiling, charming, and happy man. Your friends and family will help you through this unexpected and unbelievably sad time. You are in our hearts and prayers and know that Larry will always be in your heart and cherished memories.

To have the privilege of knowing Larry was an absolute pleasure. His kindness and selflessness knew no bounds. He would give you the shirt off of his back, an ear to listen to anything that anyone had to say. Lar Bear... the man who always lived in the moment and would do anything for anybody. They don’t really make em like that anymore. He will be missed by anyone who knew him and anyone who knew him probably has at least a dozen stories/memories with him they could share here. And I know we will continue to tell those stories and keep his memory alive.

I have not wanted to post anything here as I am still in such a shock. I have worked with him for a long time and being his coworker. He was a wonderful person and I have some very intelligent conversations with him on those days of us walking out the job. I didn't see him upset ever even when he was stressed out. I still remember the last conversation we had and how he talked about his family with so much passion. I will miss him dearly and I must say that I loved being his supervisor and coworker. Blessings and prayers to his wife and kids.
Peggy, We will remember Larry in many positive ways, with a big smile, one of our favorite memories is when we were all driving back home to your new home and got lost and you called yourselves the “magoo,s”. It was a pleasure to have worked on the same team once he moved from the AT&T Account. Great work ethics and always looking for the best way to help his customers, he would spend however long it took to resolve their issues, never in a rush. He spoke about his family and how he was looking forward to the birth of his grand child. I'm happy he was able to experience the joy of being a grandparent. Will definitely miss you Mr. Blackman.
