I met Scott in August 1983 on 8th St in front of the Electric Lady recording studio, in the Village , NYC. I was working in a furniture store that summer before I went to Art school, I was 18, he was 32. I handed him a sale flyer. At first I hesitated and he almost walked past me. His stormy blue eyes and leather pants made me think he was a rebel, a little too cool for me, lol, he stopped and it was instant attraction.
He told me he was coming from an acting class, just came back from California. He was a musician but needed more stability, was going to be working with his Dad, Bob and learn the Liquor Industry. He was in the process of moving to Park Slope Brooklyn, something new with a funky city vibe.
He bought me a cold soda from a local grocery store it was August and 92 degrees then he wrote me his number on a napkin.
If you want to call me, I’d like to take you out sometime, Im not gonna bother you, you seem a little young, lol .
I called him 2 weeks later after a family vacation. I couldn’t get him out of my mind, I knew my parents would probably not like the fact he was older, so I waited but decided to call him anyway. That was the beginning of our relationship journey together. I will never regret calling Scott.❤️
