My husband and I are making a trip to Florida in a few weeks - the first time since my mom passed away and we were hoping to pay him a visit. Your Mom and Dad were like family to us. We had a European toast in Geneva last night to "Poppa Bayer", remembering his leadership, kindness and humility, as well as his lifelong contribution to humanity. May his memory be a blessing to many.
Poppa Bayer was a true gentleman and awesome mentor to many. He took the time to make a meaningful connection with you and I learned a lot from him. Seeing him on Red Cross operations was always a good sign.
